ACHIEVEMENTS THAT SUPPORT OUR EXPERIENCE

Between 2023 and 2024, we worked with more than 10 start-ups that won ANID's (National Research and Development Agency) ‘Start-Up Science’ fund. We supported them by protecting their intangible assets in Chile and abroad, and accompanied them in the development of intellectual property in their products and services.

1

We collaborated with one of Chile's largest chemical companies, helping it to create risk matrices and develop robust intellectual property policies tailored to its needs, with a special focus on minimising the risk of infringements that could result in criminal liability for the company.

2

We frequently collaborate with other law firms that consult us to prepare legal opinions and specialised reports. Five of the six firms ranked in Bands 1 and 2 for intellectual property in Chambers (2025) have turned to us for assistance.

3

In 2023, we were responsible for protecting and ensuring the proper use of intellectual property at one of the most important sporting events of the year: the 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Games in Santiago. The Santiago 2023 Corporation entrusted us with the protection of its mascot FIU and all associated trademarks, achieving recognition as one of the largest trademark applicants in 2024 according to INAPI.

4

At the request of the Chilean Government and with the support of WIPO, between 2021 and 2023 we are providing consultancy services to the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and the National Museum of Fine Arts. We are helping these museums to develop intellectual property protocols and policies in a context where there is uncertainty about the use and management of the works they house and the rights they generate.

5

A holding company comprising real estate, food and tourism businesses asked us to optimise its brand portfolio. After a thorough analysis of its hundreds of registrations, we identified areas where they were overprotected or underprotected, enabling them to save thousands of dollars by eliminating redundant registrations.

6

An animal protein production company asked us to conduct technological landscape studies or patent mapping (patent landscape reports).

Using these reports, we identified solutions to their problems in patent databases, analysed the state of the art in specific sectors of their industry, and evaluated the performance of competitors and global leaders in their field.

A Chilean pulp and cellulose company commissioned us to conduct a strategic assessment of its intangible assets. The company realised that it was evolving from being solely a natural resource exploiter to an innovator, which led us to make recommendations for the optimal management of its intellectual property.
